Join our body and mind challenge of August and start feeling de-stressed and relaxed! This month is
all about the 4-7-8 breathing technique.
~ Try to find a calm breathing rhythm.
~ Place the tip of your tongue against the back of the upper teeth during the entire exercise.
~ Exhale completely and inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of four.
~ Hold your breath for a count of seven.
~ Exhale completely through your mouth, in a powerful and steady way to a count of eight.
You can repeat this cycle three more times for a total of four breaths at least once a day. You have the
most effect if you do the exercise four times a day for the first month. You can then keep it up twice a
day. The effect can already be measured after one month of training!
If you make this exercise part of your daily routine, you will notice soon enough that you get a relaxed
feeling right at the start of the exercise. No time is no excuse!
