General
I missed a workout, can I make it up?

As long as you have an active subscription, you can make up a missed lesson. Make sure to sign out of a workout when you miss it, that way you will receive credit, which you can use to work out on an other day. Try to catch up with a missed lesson as quickly as possible so you can keep up with your workout routine! Missed lessons cannot be made up after the expiration of your subscription. You can sign in and out of workouts via the Mom in Balance APP, which can be downloaded from the App store or Google Playstore.

I can not make it to my class every week, can I just attend a Mom in Balance class on a different day?
We strive to have stable groups each week because we find this is best for participants. If you are unable to attend class on your assigned day you can easily change your lesson with the Mom in Balance APP.
I would like to train on flexible days, is that possible?

We strive to have stable groups each week because we find this is best for participants. If you want to train flexibly on different days, that is also possible. We schedule you on a fixed day in the week, you can easily change these lessons yourself, using the Mom in balance APP.

I applied for a trial workout but cannot make it on the day that was assigned, can I still change it last minute?
You can schedule the session again to join the workout. Please email us to plan a new day for your trial session.
I would like to sign up again but still have my package from the previous time. Do I get a discount?
If you have previously participated in the Pregnant workout or the Back in Shape workout, and you still have all the stuff from the package, you will get 1 free lesson as a gift. Please make mention in the comments section if you have previously participated and we will adjust your fee accordingly.
I am really out of shape, can I still participate?
Of course you can join! The Mom in Balance Fitness Program is suitable for all fitness levels. The trainer ensures correct differentiation within the group. Are you still unsure? Then sign up for a trial lesson and decide for yourself whether you like it or not (which we cannot imagine!).
What do I need to bring to the workout?
We recommend bringing a bottle of water, and of course, a good attitude!
What type of clothing should I wear during the workouts?
Comfortably fitting athletic wear and shoes. In the colder months we recommend layers, a hat and gloves. This will help keep you warm and provide you with the opportunity to remove layers if you get too warm.
Where can I leave my things during the workout?
The trainers have a backpack to store keys and cell phones. Jackets and water bottles can be set down at the location of the workout.
Are the workouts always outside, even in the winter?
Yes! It is especially refreshing to exercise outdoors during the cold winter months when you are often cooped up indoors.
It is really cold outside, is the workout still going on?
The outdoor workouts take place throughout the entire winter!It is especially invigorating to exercise outdoors during the cold winter months, when you are often cooped up indoors. Only in the case of very heavy rain or sleet will the workout be cancelled. This will be communicated to you by email at least one hour prior to the start of the workout. By inclement weather always check your email prior to departing for the workout. If your workout is cancelled, you may make it up on another day.
Do the workouts take place even when it rains?
The workouts will go on come rain or come shine. The trainer will make sure you stay warm during the winter workouts. A light rain jacket can be very helpful during the workout when it rains. Only in the case of very heavy rain or sleet will the workout be cancelled. This will be communicated to you by email at least one hour prior to the start of the workout. By inclement weather always check your email prior to departing for the workout. If your workout is cancelled, you may make it up on another day.
Are there workouts on national holidays?

In principle, the workouts take place year-round, with the exception of national holidays. There will be no refund or fee reduction given for these days but the workouts can be made up at any time. In some locations however, the workouts do take place on national holidays, please check this at your training location.

I go on vacation, can I make up the lessons that I will miss?
Yes, you can make up the lessons you miss during your Holidays. You can use the Mom in Balance APP to register to reschedule your workouts.
I have an injury/complications, what should I do?
When you are unable to continue your workouts because of an injury or complications, please let us know through info@mominbalance.nl. We will pause your subscription and will re-activate it when you are recovered. Also always consult your doctor or midwife for advice.

Membership
I have received a free trial session coupon, how can I use this?
Great that you come and join the workout! You can apply through the website and by using the code on the coupon you will be enrolled. Our planning people will let you know by email in which group you can participate.
I have done a trial workout and would like to get a full subscription, what do I have to do?

Great that you would like to exercise with Mom in Balance! To start your membership please fill out the sign up page, you will then be directly assigned to the right lesson an receive a login for the Mom in Balance APP from us.

Can I start my subscription at any moment?

Yes, it is possible to start at any time. In the first month of training, we only take into account the workouts that you have been able to train.

How do I pay my membership fees?
The payment will be automatically deducted from your bank account every month. The payment is always deducted at the end of the month, so you only pay for the number of lessons you used. See also our Terms and Conditions (link located at the bottom of every page).
I would like to convert my subscription from an unlimited one to a subscription for once a week training
If you want to convert your subscription from an unlimited subscription to a subscription for 1 x per week training, this will take effect on the first of the month of the consecutive month.
How do I end my membership?
Send an email to info@mominbalance.nl together with the cancel per date and preferably the reason why. You will then receive a confirmation of cancellation. Please note that a notice period of 1 month applies.
I stopped with the workouts and yet money has been deducted from my account, how is that possible?
We always collect at the end of the month, so the amount that is deducted is over the previous month. The description of the collection shows the period over which the amount has been collected.
Are the workouts covered by my health insurance?

Some health insurance companies reimburse our workouts! Check your policy or contact your insurer for more information.

Pregnant Workout
I’m pregnant, when can I start with the workouts?
You can start the moment you find out you are pregnant. Most participants start the workouts between 12 and 16 weeks and you can continue to train with us until your due date.
I exercise frequently and I’m in good shape, when should I switch over to the Pregnancy Workouts?
You can best make the switch to the Pregnancy Workout around 16 weeks. Once you have entered the second trimester, you should no longer be actively training your rectus abdominus. Would you like to train more than 1x a week? No problem, we also have a Pregnancy PLUS membership that allows you to train 2x a week.
I have problems with my hips/pelvic instability, can I still participate in the workouts?
You can certainly participate. Be sure to let us know so the trainers can take it into account during the workout. Continuing with movement and building muscle strength is important, particularly when there are complaints. We work closely with pelvic specialists.
I have been doing the Pregnancy Workout for three months and I would like to continue.
No problem, your membership continues automatically until your due date. If you would like to stop prior to your due date, you may do so at any moment by contacting us at info@mominbalance.nl or via the contact form.
I would like to participate in the Pregnancy Workout but I can only do so for a couple weeks because I am close to my due date.
That's possible! It is never too late to work on your fitness, and it will work in your benefit during labor. Your membership will continue until your due date. If you wish to end your membership prior to your due date you can contact us at info@mominbalance.nl or via the contact form on the website. In order to receive the Pregnancy Box (book Gezond & Energiek Zwanger and a resistance band; valued at EUR 30), your membership must be valid for a minimum of 3 months, otherwise you will be charged separately for the Pregnancy Box. The amount you are charged will depend on how many weeks you participated in the Pregnancy Workout.
I want to stop with the Pregnancy Workout, what must I do?
There is a 3-month minimum membership period required for the Pregnancy Workout. Your membership stops automatically when you reach 40 weeks. If you would like to stop before your due date, but after you have completed the 3-month period then send an email to info@mominbalance.nl. Are you past-due but still have the energy to continue with the workouts? Then those workouts are on us!
Back in Shape Workout
I would like to start with the Back in Shape Workout, what must I do?
You can sign up on the website. You will receive a confirmation of receipt after signing up and approving the General Terms and Conditions. We will assign you to a group and email you with all the details pertaining to the workout (exact meeting location and the name and contact details of the trainer).
I’ve just given birth, when can I start the workouts?
You can begin the workouts starting from 6 weeks after giving birth, or 8 weeks after Cesarean section. Did you have a difficult childbirth with complications? Consult your gynecologist before starting the fitness program.
It’s been a few months since I gave birth, which workout is suitable for me?
We recommend doing the Back in Shape Workout for at least three months prior to moving up to the Mpower Workout. If you are exceptionally fit and would like to move up more quickly, please discuss this with your trainer.
Mpower Workout
What is mpower?

Mpower is focused on well-educated ambitious and active women who want to be top fit. Women who want to be challenged and who always strive to get the best out of themselves. Mpower is not specifically for young mothers, but for every woman. The focus is on strengthening yourself through sport, both mentally and physically.

Is mpower for every workout level?

The Mpower workout is for all levels. Even when you are not (yet) fit. Our professional trainers advise you which exercises you can and cannot do yet.

I have not done any sports for a while, can I join the mpower training immediately?
It is possible to construct your training at your own level within the Mpower workout. We will motivate you to follow the workouts weekly so that you will feel top-fit again in no-time.
I have a good physicial fitness, are the mpower workouts challenging enough for me?

Certainly! The Mpower training sessions are challenging sessions in which you can challenge yourself on your own level. Also, at different training locations we work towards a training goal, such as (ultimately) participating in runs.

What does mpower have to offer besides the workout?

In addition to the workouts, you get home routines and inspiration on themes such as body and mind. The home routines are offered every two months with a clear schedule that can be carried out at home and at your own level. That way you get more out of your workout! Furthermore, Mpower works with personal goals and things are made measurable.

Members App
What is the Mom in Balance app?

The Mom in Balance APP is a tool with which you can manage your workouts. You can see who else is enrolled to your training sessions, you can plan your catch-up workouts, watch videos for your home routine and get inspired with tasty recipes or relaxation exercises.

I cannot log in, what should I do?

All information about logging in are in the confirmation email that you received from us. Please contact Mom in Balance at info@mominbalance.nl if you are still unable to log in despite these details. Send us a print screen of you error message and we will resolve your problem.

Should I turn push-notifications on?

We advise you to enable the push messages (notifications) of this APP. Important information such as cancelling or one-off changes to your workout are shared via a push message. To be on the safe side, you will also receive an email of this message.

Why should I sign in to or sign out of a workout?
There are various reasons why it is important to sign in to and sign out of a workout. First of all, if you do not sign out of a workout, you keep a spot occupied that someone who might want to make up for a work out could use. In addition, when you have a subscription for once a week training, you save credits when you opt out of a training. This credit can then be used to make up for this workout at a different time. And last but not least, it is also useful for the trainer to know how many participants will take part in a workout.
